This was a fun shoot that occurred at the top of one of the buildings in Winston-Salem. Â We have featured in this picture the pioneers behind the company Viewfinders Media.

Behind The Scenes
That is how the title reads from the latest advertising literature from Fayetteville State University.  A little while back I was hired to help capture  the advanced scientific side of FSU.  These images were to be used in a full color brochure of which parts can be seen below.  Disclaimer: On the scanned in brochure pages not every single image on every page is from me.  Some are from stock photography resources as well as other photographers.   I’ve included my images in their natural form so that they can be more easily viewed.
A few weeks ago The Haddock family approached me about a special project for their son Marquise. They mentioned that he is coming out with a CD and they required both photography and graphic design.  We set up a meeting to discuss some of the imagery and set dates to actually do all of the shooting. Once the images were captured I spent time creating the 4 pages and CD label using the text, image choices and font selections from the family. During our meeting I had the chance to hear some of the songs and I was really impressed.  This young man is extremely talented and all the songs were written, arranged and produced by him.   Below you will find some of the images from our shoot followed by the final designs.

McDonald’s is running a campaign to help inform the public that it’s business owners do more than just sell food. Moroch Advertising Agency handles all of the advertising for McDonald’s Corporation.  I was asked to photograph several black business owners of the McDonald’s Franchise in Raleigh, Greensboro and Charlotte (North Carolina). Below is one of the ads followed by some of the images captured.
I’ve enjoyed my work with Fayetteville State University. Their staff and management make going to each photo job a very enjoyable experience.  Just recently FSU gave me permission to use some of the images on my website. Below are are few photographs that have been used throughout their publications and website.
I had the privilege to work with the Sanders/Wingo Advertising Agency to get three of my images into the 2010 State Farm Calendar which is featured in the January 2010 edition of Black Enterprise Magazine.

I have had a busy week to the extent that most of the things I thought I’d get done this weekend did not get done. However, on Saturday my sons and I made a day trip to Virginia to capture several different photographs for gospel artist Myscha.  The purpose of the shoot was to provide her with several potential choices for her CD album cover. I was asked by www.viewfindersmedia.com to create a series of photographs that help to put a new twist on riding the bus. The photos below are a few of the concepts that we came up with.

This past week I was asked to do a unique task.  I had to photograph a car and its engine then create a poster out of the images that were captured.  Below are the two images I shot followed by the poster. I’ve never studied graphic design so it was an interesting experience trying to get everything to look the way I wanted in photoshop. The car was loaned to us by attorney Ralph Fraiser, Jr. of “Frasier & Griffin Attorneys at Law, Pllc”. Clarence Allen of Allen’s Wrench is the automobile genius that built the engine and then married it to this pristine Chevrolet Chevelle.
