Celebrating 25 Years of Marriage

On April 19, 2008 Lynda and Lee Knox celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.  This was a joyous gathering full of family, friends and special memories.  A lot of us get excited when we see a couple getting married but for me seeing a couple celebrate 25 years is even more exciting.  It becomes even more special when you see the two of them still in love and looking forward to 25 more years.  It was an honor to have the opportunity to capture these memories and I thank them for trusting me with this once in a lifetime celebration.  Below you will find a short video clip from their DVD and a few photographs.

Romance Is In The Air

There is something sacred about seeing a married couple truly enjoy each other’s company. I received a call from Ed stating that he wanted to surprise his wife. The two would be chauffeured around town in a limousine. He had planned an evening that would be filled with love, laughter, entertainment and dining. However, unbeknownst to her their first stop was to have some photographs captured.

A few days earlier Ed shared with me that he wanted to capture a “Romantic” mood in the photographs. After he shared the mood that he wanted to capture he also told me “we will only have 30 minutes because the driver will be outside waiting”.

When everything was said and done I think we spent between 10 and 20 minutes capturing portraits.

Below are a few photos from the session.

Love

Matthew 19:4-5 “And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?”

I had the privilege of photographing Rev. Joe McNeill and his wife Rev. Shirrell McNeill. They not only love each other but they dig each other and it is a beautiful thing to behold. Have you ever seen two teenagers in love? The McNeill’s laugh, play, whisper things in each other’s ear and have fun together. They share a love that only God can give and sustain.

The shot below was not actually suppossed to go in the line up becaue it was a candid inbetween type of shot (which is why Rev. Shirrell is not lit with light) . In the background you can see Rev. Shirrell whispering words of love into his ear. If you look at the expression on Rev. Joe’s face then you can see the playfulness and zest that these two have for each other.

Here is another beautiful moment caught in time.

Last but not least a few portraits were captured of them as individuals…

For My Wife – I Wanna Thank You

I dedicate the song below to my sweetness, Tiffanie P. Watkins,  also known as my wifey.  As I was working on pictures I heard this come on Pandora and it made me think about you. Click on the song below to listen.
