Raynard & Winona – 25th Wedding Anniversary

On December 19th, 2009 I had the privilege of capturing the 25th Wedding Anniversary for Raynard & Winona Tyson.   These two are living testimonies to what God can do within a marriage.  After almost 30 years of being together they still give each other compliments and don’t just “Love” each other but are “In Love”.    On Friday for the rehearsal we fought against snow and ice.  However, come Saturday morning God had made sure that the temperature was warm enough to ensure that we would have roads without ice.

Special Appreciation  To:

Doris B. Eurquhart, Wedding Coordinator and Directress

Victoria Guthrie, Wedding Coordinator

Kenny Pruitt, Videographer

Flowers by Ingrid Charles, Beauty from Above

Family Reunion 2009 – Turkey Day

This past Thursday I was blessed to spend time with my family.  Each Thanksgiving we have a family reunion and it is a memorable experience to break bread, laugh and just spend time with the people that have played an important part in my life.    Below are a series of images that I captured on Thursday in between relaxing and savoring all the food.  We had everything from youth showing their latest dance moves, to talent shows and just children having fun clowning around.

Tiffanie & Jerrod – The Engagement Session 11-22-2009

This past Sunday afternoon I had the opportunity and priledge to  photograph the engagement session of Tiffanie & Jerrod.  When I first sat down to talk with them I learned that one of the things they truly love is UNC Sports.   Since they are diehard Tarheel fans we decided to have the session on the campus of UNC  Chapel Hill.   Below are a few images from our outing.  These two had no problems talking, laughing and truly enjoying each other’s company.   I enjoyed my entire session with them and I look forward to capturing the images for her bridal portrait session.

Little Hollis

This past weekend I had the privilege to capture Little Ms. Hollis.  We went for two different types of looks.  A fun contemporary look and an older more classical look.  She loved the camera and really got lively and playful as we started to shoot.  She was an easy child to work with.

Youth Revival 2009 – North East Baptist Church

On September 16 – 18 Youth Revival 2009 was held at North East Baptist Church where the pastor is Rev. Dr. Wesley Elam, Sr. .    Special thanks goes out to Rev. Yvette Crawford for pulling together the people that made everything happen.  Two of the choirs that visited with us were the  Knightdale High School Gospel Choir,  the UNC Gospel Choir  & the J.W. Freeman Youth Choir of Mt. Olive MBC.

In addition to powerful choirs we had some of the finest youth preachers that one could ever sit under.

Rev. Michael Evans, Jr.

Minister Ryan Brooks

Rev. Joshua Brown.

preachers

Each one of them caught and held the attention of the youth that were in attendance. The children soon found out that they old traditional style is not the only way to worship God.   The atmosphere was one that was encourage free praise with a youthful spirit.   All three nights left one looking forward to the next day.   If you view some of the pictures below you will feel the impact that the revival had on the children.  The children were able to see that it’s cool to be in love with Jesus Christ and that you can love God, worship and praise Him different ways.   Even some of the older adults enjoyed the energetic and youthful approach to praising God.   This is what our kids need if we want to keep them involved and looking forward to attending church.

Further below is a slide show that you can watch to see all the photographs.

The Songs of Myscha – CD Album Cover Shoot

I have had a busy week to the extent that most of the things I thought I’d get done this weekend did not get done.  However, on Saturday my sons and I made a day trip to Virginia to capture several different photographs for gospel artist Myscha.   The purpose of the shoot was to provide her with several potential choices for her CD album cover. You can learn more about her and her music by visiting www.wix.com/all4praise/myscha
