I received a call from the Coles stating that they wanted an informal family portrait taken in an outdoor setting. We headed out to Duke Park and captured these portraits. It was hot out there but Mrs. Cole’s makeup held up. Their little boy B’Jorn was easy going and then he reached his limit of wanting to have his pictures taken.

I had the chance to help Mrs. Jones preserve the memory of a much respected achievement on her academic ladder. She received her Masters Degree in Business and did it while working, being a wife and a mom. My hat goes off to her for this achievement.

I had the privilege of capturing a few photographs of Minister Robinson. She requested a few head shots. During the entire shoot she was very easy to work with and she arrived on the set with makeup and clothing ready to go. Her mom accompanied her and was the final authority on which pictures were kept and which had to be deleted. Â

I had the opportunity to meet an energetic young couple that wanted to have memories captured. Their request was to have formal pictures taken as well as fun and playful ones. Carlton is a preacher and was called into the ministry at the tender age of 17. He and Kendra love the Lord and have a zest for life. This was one of the most fun photo shoots as of late. The both of them arrived with the right attitude and were very helpful in helping to fine tune the pictures.

On April 12, 2008 I had the chance to capture the precious newborn Camryn Davis. She is one of the most adorable that little babies that one could see. These pictures don’t require a lot of explanation. They are captures of another one of God’s blessings.

I had the chance to capture some portraits of the Guthrie children. This was one family that had it all together from the coordinated outfits down to how they responded to suggestions. We had our fair share of laughs along the way but in the end we captured memories that will last for generations.

Today I had the opporunity to photograph some of the women from the Alpha Kappa Alpha MU OMICRON OMEGA Chapter. All of the ladies were easy to work with and they made capturing the group photo an “easier” experience.

There is something sacred about seeing a married couple truly enjoy each other’s company. I received a call from Ed stating that he wanted to surprise his wife. The two would be chauffeured around town in a limousine. He had planned an evening that would be filled with love, laughter, entertainment and dining. However, unbeknownst to her their first stop was to have some photographs captured.
A few days earlier Ed shared with me that he wanted to capture a “Romantic” mood in the photographs. After he shared the mood that he wanted to capture he also told me “we will only have 30 minutes because the driver will be outside waiting”.
When everything was said and done I think we spent between 10 and 20 minutes capturing portraits.

There aren’t many things in this life that can top the joy that one gets when looking at a precious baby. Today I had the privilege of capturing the Graham baby and his mom. It was a fun portrait session and things went very well. I’ll stop typing and just let you enjoy the pictures.
